Hand made plate

I have not sketched anything in a long while, and I am trying to get back into it. I bought a hand made plate from Winners the other day. There was only one left, but I did not mind. I don't like matching china sets anymore. I managed to draw only few of the many motifs on the plate....

Collateral damage

I don't like wasting paint, so when I have left over paint on the palette I will paint on other scraps of paper or monoprint backgrounds. In one of these attempts, I ended up with this:
 I could not cover those funny faces; the scanner did not work too well because the sketchbook got to think. This is in a Fabriano sketchbook.

Neutral washes

I enrolled in the Act Natural class over at Julie Pritchard's.
I used one of those advertisement postcards that are all over the place. I sanded it, then applied washes in neutral colors, then I stared into it and saw a landscape. Outlined with white link and voila...
