Composition studies - multishapes
It took a while to get it right ...I liked the first one, but it felt a bit off - too much empty space at the bottom of the page and too many floating shapes.

Composition studies - two and three shapes
I like how these ones turned out...
I tried one using Shiva paint sticks - I like their buttery texture.

Hand made plate
I have not sketched anything in a long while, and I am trying to get back into it. I bought a hand made plate from Winners the other day. There was only one left, but I did not mind. I don't like matching china sets anymore. I managed to draw only few of the many motifs on the plate....

Collateral damage
I don't like wasting paint, so when I have left over paint on the palette I will paint on other scraps of paper or monoprint backgrounds. In one of these attempts, I ended up with this:

Finger painting
With little time on my hands these days for artsy stuff, I decided to to do some finger painting - a field of poppies.

Neutral washes
I enrolled in the Act Natural class over at Julie Pritchard's.
I used one of those advertisement postcards that are all over the place. I sanded it, then applied washes in neutral colors, then I stared into it and saw a landscape. Outlined with white link and voila...
